Arts and Culture Awards
The City of Charlottetown hosted the inaugural Arts and Culture Awards as part of its 1864 Anniversary Celebrations in 2014.
The awards, a legacy of the Arts Advisory Board, were designed to honour Charlottetown's artistic and cultural leaders - individuals, groups and organizations - who significantly contribute to the arts in the community.
The City of Charlottetown hosts the event every two years to celebrate the vibrant artistic talents of those in the Capital City and to continue in the role of champion and catalyst for artistic and cultural creativity, expression and innovation.
The selection of winners is determined by an independent panel appointed by, but separate from, the Arts Advisory Board. The panel is chaired by one (non-voting) member of the Arts Advisory Board.
