Charlottetown Police and Child Find P.E.I. partner to keep kids safe
CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI – Charlottetown Police Department is partnering with Child Find P.E.I. to help keep Island kids safe and accounted for.
Beginning Tues. Jan. 12, the two organizations will be offering an "All About Me" fingerprint clinic at the Department’s Downtown Depot.
Every second Tuesday of the month, between 1 and 3 p.m. Charlottetown Police officers and Child Find P.E.I. staff and volunteers will be available to offer parents and children age-appropriate personal and Internet safety tips
Deputy Chief Gary McGuigan says Charlottetown Police are pleased to be working with Child Find P.E.I., Canada’s oldest and largest missing children’s organizations.
"Child Find P.E.I offers a variety of community awareness and public education programs related to child safety all of which are offered for free," McGuigan said.
"We urge parents to take advantage of these sessions that Child Find is providing at our Kent St. Downtown Depot so that they can be informed and educated to avoid situations that put children at risk."
