2017-09-20 - Fire Department to Host Open House on Oct. 1

The Charlottetown Fire Department is hosting an Open House on Sunday, October 1 to help celebrate Farm Day in the City.

The Open House will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Station 1, 89 Kent Street. The event is free and all are welcome. Firefighters will be in attendance with fire prevention tips, and Sparky, the fire department mascot, will make an appearance. The public will also be able to learn how to use a fire extinguisher and experience several other firefighting related tasks.

During the open house, information will also be provided about Fire Prevention Week taking place October 8 to 14 and the Volunteer Firefighter Recruitment Campaign running from September 21 to October 20.
