The City of Charlottetown’s Youth Retention Advisory Board, Charlottetown – Youth Matters, wishes to remind the public about their wellness initiative focused on the fundamentals of strategic self care.
Youth Wellness Week, taking place October 2-6, will include yoga and high intensity interval training (HIIT) in Rochford Square, the benefits of juicing, nutritional guidance, first-time home buying, cyber wellness, and a session on how to start budgeting.
Youth Wellness Week is geared towards those 35 and under and all of the sessions are free. Space in the indoor sessions may be limited on a first-come basis. Participants are asked to confirm attendance through the Facebook event or by e-mailing email@example.com.
The week kicks off with "Yoga in the park" in Rochford Square at 12 p.m. (noon) on Monday, October 2 (weather permitting). It will wrap up with a session titled, A Fireside Chat with Some of Charlottetown’s Young Entrepreneurs, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bar 1911 Beer + Coffee (113 Longworth Avenue).
