In the event of a labour disruption at Canada Post, the City of Charlottetown has identified alternative pickup and delivery methods for important transactions with residents and businesses.
Each City department has a plan in place to ensure important transactions are completed and correspondence with the public is delivered. We would like our vendors to know that we will continue to fulfill our commitment to them. We encourage our vendors to visit: www.charlottetown.ca/finance.php or contact us, to fill out a form to register for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) which provides direct deposit. Invoices can also be dropped off at City Hall on Queen Street if the PO number is attached to the invoice.
The public is reminded that we have a number of payment options available, including: online through their bank, online through our website, at any bank, in-person, via a drop box at City Hall, and our Finance Department has committed to working out a way for customers to pay by credit card over the phone in the event of a labour disruption at Canada Post.
For more information about online payments visit the "Quick Links" section at: www.charlottetown.ca
