The Study Abroad Canada Language Institute celebrated World Student Day with a parade down Queen Street in Charlottetown today (Friday, July 15). The students involved will also participate in an oyster shucking experience and luncheon at Peakes Quay Restaurant and an afternoon at Cavendish Beach.

Languages Canada's World Student Day is an annual event to celebrate international language students in Canada and recognize their valuable contribution to our education, culture and economy.

The City of Charlottetown was a proud participant in the events. Councillor Edward Rice represented the City and he was joined by the Member of Parliament for Charlottetown, Hon. Sean Casey and Hon. Richard Brown, Minister of Workforce and Advanced Learning MLA for District 12 (Charlottetown - Victoria Park).
