The City of Charlottetown’s Parks and Recreation Department will be offering two Seniors’ Day Trips in June.
The first trip will take place on Thursday, June 8, travelling to the Eastern end of the Island. The trip will include a visit to the Belfast Mini Mills in Eldon, lunch at Stella’s Diner in Montague and a scenic drive around Panmure Island. The final stop will be to Rossiginol Winery in Little Sands. The fee for this day trip is $30, which includes transportation. Guests will be responsible for the cost of their lunch.
The second trip will take place on Thursday, June 29, travelling to the North Shore of the Island. This trip will begin with a visit to the PEI Preserve Company in New Glasgow, followed by a tour of the Butterfly House and Gardens located on the grounds of the Preserve Company. Participants will also be given an opportunity to tour inside the shop, sampling some of their delicious treats and enjoy lunch at the Preserve Company. The group will then continue to Avonlea Village in the heart of Cavendish, followed by a tour through Rustico, with a stop at the Rustico Bay Wool Sweater Company. The fee for this day trip will be $30, including transportation and entrance into the Butterfly House. Guests will be responsible for the cost of their lunch.
