The City of Charlottetown conducted a review of downtown parking with Council releasing the Downtown Charlottetown Parking Strategy Report in May 2008. The Parking and Transit Committee has been working on implementing the recommendations contained in the Report.

Winter Parking
No person shall park or leave any vehicle on the travelled portion of any street or square between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. from the 15th day of November to the 15th day of April, both dates inclusive or such other dates as City Council may approve.
The Police Department shall give notice in any newspaper published in Charlottetown of the dates when the prohibition as described in subsection (a) concerning the overnight parking or leaving of vehicles in any area or areas of Charlottetown shall be in effect.
