Residential Parking Permits
The City of Charlottetown's Residential Parking Permit Program is intended to provide on-street parking to those residents that do not have access to off-street parking.
Who may apply for residential parking permits?
Anyone who is the registered owner of a passenger automobile or motorcycle, van or truck not greater than 3/4 ton capacity and
resides in a building containing no more than 3 dwelling units prior to October 26, 1979 and
has no on-site parking space available and is unable to provide one may apply to the Chief of Police or his designee for a permit or a renewal of a permit.
The applications for residential parking permits can be obtained from Charlottetown Police Services at 10 Kirkwood Drive.
Upon receipt of an application, the Chief of Police, or his designee, shall issue a permit in respect of a vehicle, the owner or lessee of which has provided satisfactory proof of compliance with the above to the Chief of Police or his designee.
Residential parking permits are at a cost of $25 for a first time applicant and $10 for a renewal. These permits are good from January 1 - December 31 renewable every year in January.
