The Charlottetown Fire Department focuses on the protection of lives and property. Effective fire service protection and other emergency services are the primary purpose of the fire department. Yet through the years the fire service has faced many challenges and changes. With the improvement of technology, the advancement of education and skills and the enhancement of human resources the fire service is focusing more on the community as their customer and are promoting fire safety and education.We are best able to deliver this message through prevention.
We are trying to ensure that the public is well informed and educated on the ways to protect themselves. Through media, schools, public relations, code enforcement , inspections and fire investigations the Charlottetown Fire Department has established and developed relationships with the community they are serving by providing the customer with the knowledge helping to reduce kown hazardous conditions and help prevent situations that may result in disaster.
